Separation & Connection - The Way of Phi in Practice -

The more we behave as if we are only individuals the further away we move from our potential as humans

Dear friend,

From an early age

we're taught to identify

with our individuality

We're called by a certain name

that separates us

from everyone else

We're given things

that are ours

and ours alone

And we're taught that money

is first and foremost

for me

Even the collective is weaponised,

learning to identify with one group

by pointing at what we are not:

I see politicians

defining themselves

through polarisation:

No vision.

Just reaction

and opposition

"Do you really want them in charge?"

That is the whole message

But what happens to the part

that we share

with everyone else?

What happens to our shared humanity

when we focus on ourselves as individuals

and on 'us' in relation to 'them'?

At the end of the day

it is your choice

and mine

Will we separate or connect?
